This course introduces the polarizing topic of nuclear energy, and debates its role in the energy transition. It covers the technical, social and political aspects of nuclear energy.

  • Nuclear Disasters

  • Global Perspectives

 

Optional Debate: the class is divided into two teams to debate the pro and anti-nuclear positions on the role of nuclear energy in the energy transition.

Recommended course length: 2 hours (lecture) + 1 hour (debate)
